Tracy Balazs
CEO, RN
Tracy Balazs is the CEO of Compass Government Solutions. This company has evolved from Tracy’s experience in government contracting and her enjoyment of working as a small business entrepreneur. Prior to her starting this venture, her trauma and critical care nursing career set her on a path to working with military personnel injured while serving on active duty. That experience inspired her to solve a nursing shortage stateside created by the need for military medical personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan.
She founded her first company, Federal Staffing Resources, LLC dba FSR in 2004 and grew it to an award-winning, 8(a), women-owned small business supporting federal healthcare recognized by the SBA, INC5000, and many other organizations. While CEO of FSR, the company was awarded several high visibility federal government healthcare contracts to include the DHA MQS IDIQ, AF CLASS, Navy MATOs, and numerous other contracts providing healthcare and human performance services nationwide and overseas. In 2018, FSR became part of the Webster Equity Partner’s healthcare portfolio.
Tracy Balazs is a thought leader and SME in small business government contracting. In 2014, Congressional leadership called upon Tracy to speak to the challenges facing small businesses. Additionally, she has served on several diversity councils and spoken on panels supporting diverse and women-owned small businesses.
